Who We Are

We are a few siblings who grew up on an organic farm in central Minnesota. Life took us both off the farm after high school, but it didn't take us long to get back to our roots. Farming. This time, because we wanted to - not because we were born into it.

We are proud to continue the legacy of our family farm that started over a century ago in 1918 with Grandpa Charlie.

Feel Good About Your Food

Our livestock is pasture-raised ethically with space to roam. The cows are on grass fed & finished diets, while the hogs are corn and soy free. Hogs are fed garden left-overs.

The animals are not given any vaccines or antibiotics. If it comes down to life or death we will do what's necessary for the animal, but it will be pulled from the meat program.

How The Meat Buying Process Works

  • Deposit

For quarters, halves and wholes, a $100 deposit is required. This ensures that you'll be placed on the waiting list for meat!

  • Timeline

Typically beef is processed in late summer or early fall. Pork is processed at different times depending on the year.

  • Pick Your Cuts

You get to pick and choose how you want your meat processed. This will be communicated through the butcher.

  • How Much Meat Will I Get?

The average hanging weight (before processing) of the cow is is 700 pounds. The average hanging weight of a whole hog is 225 pounds.

  • Cost

Price is determined at hanging weight. Beef costs around $3.25/lb and pork $2.95/lb. There is an additional processing fee which is typically $1.49/lb for beef and $2.00-$4.00/lb for pork.

  • Enjoy Your Locally Raised Meat!

When your meat is finished processing it can be picked up at the butcher shop! We are not shipping meat at this time.
